So I had a little drama trying to get home from ORD this morning. My original flight was delayed, messing up my connection, so I was rebooked into an oversold flight. I volunteered for VDB and got selected, but the best the first GA and the PM line could do was to get me home around 4:30. When I went back up to retrieve my compensation cert, the second GA offered me a slot on the flight to ATL, which was about to finish boarding (getting me home at 12:45). I said yes, and she moved quickly to get me a window seat, check me in, and make sure I didn't forget my voucher
. Unfortunately, I had new bags and didn't have my JWD certs with me, and things were moving too quickly for me to get her contact info.
Questions:
- Does anyone know of a way for me to get the JWD cert number to her? Will customer service do this for me? (I will definitely send a compliment through the website no matter what.)
- I got the VDB opportunity when I went to a kiosk to reprint my BP. It asked me to bid, so I put in $400. (It was so early I couldn't see straight.) Did I just screw myself out of an extra $200?
