Stayed there for 2 nights in April and also agree, but with a caveat. If you are staying for free (I had the free night certs from last year) there are smallish studios on the ends of each floor with tiny appliances that you get instead of the suites. With 2 adults and 3 children it was cramped, but the free dinners were great and the pool also. Now I know why there were only 2 washing machines in the common area-- most rooms had private ones.
I had club status at that time.
Having stayed off-strip, I would never stay on strip again-- too much hassle.
