A call to Newcastle will hopefully solve all this but would prefer to be holding all the cards first.
The rules do not seem to cover upgrades at all, however Im sure I've seen a lot of anectodotes on here covering paid upgrades from WT+ to CW and the option is almost always available in MMB (for normal bookings)
This is the only mention of upgrade or changing of 'class' in the rules

TICKETING DEADLINE/MINIMUM/MAXIMUM STAY/BOOKING
CLASSES/SEASONALITY ETC....
