Let's remember that if you are flying in the EU then the transaction is NOT tax free! Dixons is paying the same VAT as it would if you bought it on the High Street. So, unless the profit margin on the item is at least 30% (which is not common for IT stuff, except for peripherals) then they simply cannot offer it tax-free.
