I will be traveling to BKK for the first time with my partner next spring(end of April to first week of May). After many hours of looking into hotels(and there are so many!), we came up with two hotels. First is Penninsula and second is Hansar. We are leaning towards Hansar since it is smaller boutique hotel. We are guessing that the whole experience will be more intimate.
Can anybody give me a recommendation? The price are about same on the web. Both come with breakfast and free wifi.
I've stayed at both. The Peninsula wins by a mile. The Hansar is not in the same league as The Peninsula.
Of the 5* BKK hotels my partner and I have stayed at this is my order of preference...
Peninsula (Grand Deluxe and Suites)
Sukhothai (Exec Deluxe Rooms and above)
Oriental
Shangri-La (Krungthep Wing)
Le Meridien (Avantec Suite)
Four Seasons (Great Service, but getting dated)
Hansar
Hilton
