the roads were quiet heading into and around Bangkok. central areas such as silom and sathorn are pretty quiet... traffic is right down, and the night markets, bars and food stalls are about 1/2 their usual self.

all convenience stores are out of water. restaurants still seem to have bottles with meals. interesting that pattaya is also now pretty much out of bottled water, even in the large western supermarkets there.

you can still buy coke, sprite, milk etc.

so far no sign of water here in the central capital.
How was the road condition driving from Pattaya? My plan B is to drive straight from the airport to Pattaya if Sukhumvit is flooded starting from Oct 31. Was Pattaya dry when you left?
