As the CSeries will have a bigger wingspan than the RJ100s, they will built 7 new positions north of Dock E, where there's now some grassland and an area for handling equipment. Also mentioned was a potential replacement of the A340. According to LX CEO Hohmeister, they are looking at a lot of different aircraft models: from 777 & 787, A340-600 to A350-900 & -1000. Although replacement is not expected before 2020, I find it interesting that he mentioned the 346. AFAIK, the 346 is out of production, so I can't imagine that they are currently evaluating to add, starting from 2020, some (by then) 10 year old second-hand 346s... Perhaps there is some truth in the rumours afterall that some (used) 346s might enter the LX fleet in the near term...
