I currently Gold and spend half the year living at my residence in Europe and half living in the UK and switch my BAEC address accordingly to take advantage being Gold and using 241 Amex. Commonly called a 'euro-cheat' on here, although I don't personally put that tag on myself!

I am currently in the UK and will move to Europe in January '12 with my renewal in July '12, I will have around 600 tier points by March and will make the 800 required by my renewal in July to retain Gold. I will then shortly after move back to the UK for around 6 months from July 12 to Dec 12 (at which point my BAEC will show 1500 TP to renew for Gold, as it usually does) when I move back to Europe in Jan 13 will my threshold show at the 800 renewal for the two years change over, or will switching back to the UK for 6 months during the grace period and moving back again muck things up!?
