SQ 228 departed Melbourne @ 1720 Australian Eastern Summer Time (AEST) Tuesday 28th Jan. The time now is 2320 AEST, and according to the SQ webpage, the flight is not due to arrive in Sin until 2129 local time (0029 AEST Wed 29th Jan). It is currently 2325 AEST as I post this...therefore, unless Ozstamps is surfing Flyertalk from his first class seat on SQ 228 (and I don't think even SQ have that facility yet!!), he cannot be on that flight when he made the above post

By deduction, therefore, he must have ........
