One time I was VDBing for an overnight bump, and I was told the comp was $200. I said - What? It's always $400, especially for overnight! She SCREAMED AT ME!! No exaggeration! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT, I'LL BOARD YOU AND GET SOMEBODY ELSE!! I was TOTALLY shocked at her tone, as usually the GAs are extremely polite, thanking you for HELPING them!!
I don't disagree that there are some disgruntled employees (obviously no excuse for poor customer service, but imagine if you or I had to deal with those transportation nightmares to get to work to deal with the highest number of impatient kettles in the nation!), but my experience overall has been pleasant with JFK DL employees. The funny part is the worst FA I ever had (kind of doing what the GA did with you - she did it to some passenger on board) was part of an ATL based flight crew!
