The only thing I can think of, is that you're living in a parallel universe. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few nice employees at JFK, but overall, it's a complete and total customer service nightmare!! After seeing quite a few posts affirmaing the same, I know I'm not alone in thinking that the "JFK Experience" is a totally different animal, unlike any other U.S. DL station that I know of!

One time I was VDBing for an overnight bump, and I was told the comp was $200. I said - What? It's always $400, especially for overnight! She SCREAMED AT ME!! No exaggeration! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT, I'LL BOARD YOU AND GET SOMEBODY ELSE!! I was TOTALLY shocked at her tone, as usually the GAs are extremely polite, thanking you for HELPING them!!
