Production of the 757 ended on October 28, 2004 after 1,050 had been built. The final aircraft was delivered to Shanghai Airlines on November 28, 2005. A total of 945 Boeing 757 aircraft were in airline service in July 2010.
~945 isnt rare to me. E0 used them (i was lucky to fly them in 2006) and openskies still does.
