transferring through bom in less than 3 hours is normally tough but at that time in the morning it will be very easy....plus you get to your destination the quickest....
Although I have flown from/to BOM many times, never connected there. I don't mind "ruggedness" but wouldn't want to miss my connection, because the next one is something like 13 hours later.
