The year started well for us: I approched the SQ counters in SYD and simply demanded F seats for both of us as the complete trip was an F award and in case seats were available I should have them according to LH. And, LH had really put a message in the booking asking SQ to accomodate us in F if possible.

After some discussions and lots of internal phone calls between SQ authorities they really handed me the F boarding passes. It seems the guy at the counter could not believe it himself ....

Technically, for me, it is not an Upgrade because I paid miles for an F trip /// but for SQ it is an upgrade as I accepted the confirmed C class ticket and LH only reimbursed SQ for a C class award seat. Even LH said if they would see available F inventory later they would have to totally reticket the award and also charge me for the rebooking.

Hehe, so I am lucky ....

BTW so far I only travelled SQ in F so far but out of curiosity tested one of their space beds (only 10 pax in C class) I must really say those seats are not the best invention ...
