Nobu maybe excellent for what's its worth. But if you think NOBU serves autheric Japanese Kaiseki meals, you must be dreaming. Frankly, I would not order any Japanese meals even by SQ or JL if its catered outside Japan. My Kaiseki dinner from TPE to NRT on SQ was nothing but a small supper last month. Similarly, from LHR to SIN on SQ, I was so dissapointed with the Japanese meal that I only ate half of it. A paper thin sliced salmon over a block of over-vinegared hard rice,,,its just so atrocious! If you try Japanese Kaiseki meals out of NRT on JL or NH, you will see THE difference.
