I didn't see this posted already and feel it is worthy of mention here.

Starting Nov 1, 2002, you can transfer points from American Express's Starwood credit card to Singapore Airline's Krisflyer program.

If you transfer 20,000 points, you get a 5,000 point bonus. That results in 1.25 miles for every dollar charges to the Amex card.
