First, the delay in this case isn't on Delta's side.
Second, even if it were, defending Delta is not my primary concern. I'm looking our for my own interests, as well as that of other customers, by pointing out that it is best for *us* if we choose to keep the cost of administering generous promotions as low as possible. That way, we'll see more of them in the future. Hounding a company to post miles before the stated posting period is not only nonsensical, but it adds cost to the promotion that works against us in the future.
