Well, you might still get a tiny little bag of pretzels or a cookie on AC time to time.

CX actually used to serve something more substantial than the little hot buns or sandwiches they give now on HKG-TPE. I sat beside some South African bloke on my last one of these segments (rather, he moved himself into the exit row seat beside me) and he looked at the ham and cheese bun like it was going to kill him or something. I would say those little snacks are more suited for East Asian tastes, which makes sense. I personally generally like them and I love the little plastic tea bowls in Y, they're so cute!

I know for sure that BR serves a full meal HKG-TPE and I think KA still does as well. CX has a small but decent lounge at TPE though (in contrast with the rest of T1) which more than makes up for it.
