Frankly, you'd have to be close to bonkers to make your airline choice in this way. I find it very hard to believe, and I suspect that BA does too.

I would bet that many (most?) of these Euro Golds choose BA because the overall BA package is better, and that the erosion from this change will be just one factor of many that they will take into account when deciding whether or not to abandon BA - and many will not because, overall, BA will still be better than the alternative.
