I found this thread when looking for a way out. I thought I had done my homework. Trying to book flight on HA with Skymiles from LAS to OGG. EF shows 'T' available =7 seats. Same for return. I call Diamond desk to book flight. Agent manages to make reservation in system with confirmation number. But it isn't "ticketed." I call back and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes they say that SkyMiles awards are not available for the ENTIRE MONTH. Did someone let Shena out here?

Does T availability mean Delta award is available? Some on FT say not.
How many miles should a RT mainland US-Hawaii cost? I thought 40K...

I see some speak of "long sell" sorry for my ignorance here but what is that?

Any advice for my situation (besides the obvious avoiding Delta advice) would be greatly appreciated... I'm perplexed.
