Are Rome flights moving to T3? I think Rome flights are still flying into T5. In which case, this should be fine subject to no delays with FCO-LHR flight

You cannot just go from Gate to Gate at LHR. You will have to clear BP checks and security and very like have to take the shuttle train for T5B or T5C for the SFO flight.
