By then, FCO flights will arrive Terminal 3 and SFO will depart T5.

It should be just enough time to transfer (but not necessarily comfortably!)

The chances of your FCO flight being delayed are low as the aircraft will over ight in FCO (I think), but you will likely have some ATC delays and stacking on the way in to LHR. Terminal transfer (by airside bus) and then transfer security at T5.

Are you on one ticket with one PNR? If so, BA have sold you the ticket and you will be protected if any delays.

Overall, I wouldn't do it on separate tickets (too risky).

If you have lounge access, better to take the 14:25 to SFO just in case.
