Hi, if you are doing business out of Bangkok inner city proper, it can be a real problem, but the taxis know where to go, so rely on them. It would be wise to switch to a high wheel van if you are going too far in the northern suburbs, eg, out the old airport way, it is under water and it quickly moves from being water over the road to being over your wheels. The old scenario exists, treat the people like mushroons, keep them in the dark. This week one chappy said disaster is nigh, within minutes his offsider said, Oh no it isn't, everything is perfect. The ShangriLa, Oriental Sheraton and the Peninsula are still accepting guests, the Shangrila has a barrier a metre and a half high in parts. CNX has been difficult but it appears to be getting better each week. This week has been hard. We still have BKK/CNX again to do, then we fly back in from HAN, they say if the rains stop, it should be all over, but they have been saying that for months.
Any risk of BKK closure in the next few days? Situation bad at Royal Orchid sheraton?
