If you are based in Europe 4 segments of LX's Business Saver should earn you enough status miles to reach FTL status as others have suggested, though as a Blue M&M member you will only get 8000 miles - still enough for FTL.

Your award miles won't expire until they are 36 months old, not at the end of the year when status miles are reset to zero.
