I'm new to this and realize I will miss Frequent Traveler status by about 6,800 miles after my flights in November. I won't be able to fly again for the rest of this year. Are there any good ways to gain the needed status miles?

I think I'll price upgrading one leg to business class maybe, but I'm not sure it's worth it really. I have just over 100k award miles and I'd hate to see them disappear. Just a little more and they wouldn't expire
