I think SQ is trageting some of the less F demanding markets right now -- like Vancouver, Las Vegas, and Johannesberg. As some of you know, SQ has used some of the older Megatops with the old sleeper seats on the JNB flights, which possibly reflect the softer demands for F seats on this particular market.

About YVR, I was surprised to see the SQ's A340s showing up at YVR earlier this month. Boeing 777ERs are suposedly flying this route now, with the SIN-SEL-SFO (San Francisco daytime flights) next. I guess the installation of the new Skybeds must have delayed the introduction of the Boeing 777ERs on this route.
