It is usually not a great deal for miles, but it could be a good idea depending on how your flight is paid by your company.
Say you buy a $300 ticket and add on $69 for the mileage multiplier. If your company doesn't know/care if you expense the flight for $369, then you win out.
It shows up on the credit card statement as two separate transactions so it's going to be pretty easy to get spotted. Might be a more "expensive" deal than you are planning on.
