The upgrade from WT+ to CW is only 20,000 Avios per person, return, from 16 November. (A CW full redemption will be 80k, a WT+ full redemption will be 60k, the upgrade is therefore the 20k difference.) You don't need a 2-4-1, and cannot use it to do this even if you do have one.
Remember - if your job means you need some flexibility - that a full miles redemption can be moved about without a problem, as long as miles seats are still available. A WT+ seat bought for cash and upgraded will be non-cancellable, non-changeable.
