Do I have a beef or shame on me?
So about a month ago I cashed in 4 of my e-certs for 2 round trip tickets domestically. Delta.com, shockingly enough, wasn't able to complete transaction since I was using so many certs. I called delta and got, what I thought at the time was great service. They had trouble as well, so told me they would turaco ate my cost, complete transaction and send me the final itinerary. Fine by me.
So, three hours later, I get my itinerary emailed and everything looks good. Five minutes later they called, said the fare rules were off and they needed to rebook in different class at same cost, fine by me. I get new itinerary minutes later and I am good to go.
Fast forward to today when I notice they booked me on the wrong departure date. Granted, shame on me for not double checking the work, but it was right the first time. Long story short, there is a $400 fare difference and I am out of luck. I can't prove it, but I am sitting at 96 segments for the year I booked by myself correctly and the one I let you book is wrong, pretty sure delta dropped the ball.
Not sure what I am asking and I realize I have fault in the situation, but they wouldn't even waive the change fee for me. Frustrated. Vent over.
