Hello world, I asked this question several weeks ago at another forum but didn't get any direct answer so I thought I'd try again here.

Last year, I booked a reward travel for SQ business class SFO-HKG-SFO for end of November travel. I was able to book it through UA Mileage Plus at the beginning of September (before Sep 11) without a glitch. I then made a small date change (moving from Saturday return to Sunday return) in November, also without a problem.

This year, however, I tried to book a similar reward travel (SQ business class SFO-HKG-SFO for end of November travel) through Air Canada Aeroplan at the end of March, but wasn't successful. I tried again in April and didn't have any luck either.

So, for those of you who have been able to book transpacific reward travel on SQ, how was your booking experience (e.g., how early in advance did you book, through which mileage programme, and what cabin, etc.) Will I have a better chance booking November travel in September than in March? Any comments and advice will be greatly appreciated.
