Although I'm an AA flyer, I booked for my wife & I that week a trip to Madrid. Booked that trip many months out and wished I used AA miles. (free redeposit as an EXP if I cancelled). Wanted to try out US Airways lie flat biz seats and it only cost me 110K miles for 2 biz class tickets to Europe instead of 200K AA miles.

Bad luck as it is the week we are away. If it was just me travelling, I would fly back to USA to attend the DO & fly back to Europe. Oh well! I was looking forward to attending.
