Connection times seem to be getting shorter which is great if the airline can deliver. Schedule changes in the next 2 months have left me with a 32 min connection in SLC and a 35 connection in DTW. I have done connections of this length before and it is easily doable, but dont count on overhead bin space and dont pack anything in your checked bag you cant do without for a day. I have found that SLC is the easiest to do short connections. MSP can be hard depending on gates. I would recommend not checking bags and being prepared to gate check in MSP as you could be in last boarding group. Not checking bags will give you much more flexibility if you miss the connection. All this being said, Delta will change your flight if you call them. Simply tell them that you dont think you will be able to make the connection for whatever reason and they will likely change it for you......
