They still need to check for the necessary VISA/travel docs. In my opinion this is a very easy problem to fix.

1. Asia Asia needs to display, on the printout, that passengers still need to proceed to check-in counter to verify documentation. I wonder why they haven't done this already; it takes 1-2 hrs to code this as a remark into the system!

2. Or, with a little bit of planning, Let you input a passport number, and with that, check to see if you are "VISA FREE" and if so, instruct you to proceed to gate. If not, print on boarding pass that you need to proceed to check-in counter.

Either way I think its misleading... a doc labeled "Boarding Pass" with your seat number, gate number, etc all finished indicates that you've "checked in"... i mean, security check, immigration, etc will not let you pass thru unless you've checked in
