PLT sat beside me on an op-up TPA-DFW this morning. The two across from me were non-status revenue standbys. There was ONE person on the standby list at the airport, and 4 open F seats (not counting mine which cleared days ago).
F on this route is at least 20% more expensive than any of the routes the OP is on (and more than double the lowest available on ORD-LGA), which could account for more upgraders being accommodated.
