Agreed. For a 12 ounce steak I would prefer good Australian or uS grass fed. The Kobe I have had, about 4 ounces was think sliced and served shabu shabu style which lets you better appreciate the unique property of the beef.
The high grade Kobe that you speak of that's over $1,000 per pound..
4 ounces.. so that must have been $250+ plus preperation?
