I fly on MU fairly regularly... Though haven't been on an A340. My best guess is that it's a real barcolounger style seat, not Econ plus.

I have a 2 class flight PVG NRT later this week w business class ticket and will report back. It's a 333, so not perfect but should give you an idea.
