Wow I lived in London for 20 years but unless you are a born and bred Londoner I don't think it is appropriate to recommend pie and mash, two pies one mash, two pies one mash, two pies two mash one pie one mash liquor, one pie two mash liquor etc ad infinitum.

Even famed spots like Manze's or GF Kelly in Bethnal Green. It makes me wretch eating it. I have the utmost respect though for those true cockneys that were raised on it.

If I were recommending a nice pie in London that is not a London pie I would head for the Square Pie Company in Borough and Spitalfields markets.
