I'm EXP on a DFW-HNL miles and copay wait list with my Gold wife, we're connecting from DCA. If it goes to airport control should we cancel our miles and copay request and just take our chances with upgrades at the gate?

From what I've read above it seems like there is no advantage waiting any longer for miles and copay upgrades.
