It's quite clear that every one in India loves *Alliance and hates India. If AI joins *Alliance, it would not be the end of the world for India based *flyers. They might have to forgo earning miles for domestic flights should they choose to fly Jet or Kingfisher. For the rest of their flying, they can avoid AI.
As for me, I would be happy either way, whether or not AI is accepted by *Allliance.
AI, *Alliance and LH were polaying a game of chicken. Someone blinked.
What I would like to know is, "Who blinked? AI, *Alliance, or LH?"
