I do agree that it is weird that it shows the seat as confirmed on the DL end. I'm guessing that if you were to call in and inquire, it probably actually isn't confirmed but just requested and likely says Unconfirmed if someone was looking at it in their reservation system. I had this happen once when flying on AF where it showed I had a certain seat on AF on delta.com and when I called to see if there were any seats further forward I was told that my seat had only been requested but not confirmed from AF so I didn't even have a seat assignment! The treatment of DL elites from AF/KL is very frustrating because their elites get complimentary upgrades in the US on DL flights, access to preferred seats and Economy comfort (for them PLUS companions) but DL elites get very little on AF/KL. I would settle for one upgrade from Voyager to La Premiere on the A380 and shut up though

One can always dream
This just reaffirms why I'm considering figuring out a way to get status on *A for international trips...
On another note, I flew AMS-MSP last year on Delta metal and requested the exit row (I was an FO at the time)... however, the flights go under KLM's control at AMS and when I checked in, I was moved to the back of the bus, in an aisle seat in the middle. A KLM elite was in my exit row seat. Come to think of it, I should have complained to Delta, but never got around to it ...
