Same for me with the 2 IB legs on an AA coded (mostly AA/BA) itinerary TPA-FCO in early November. IB res can 'see' the legs in their system, but cannot touch them. As if there weren't already compelling enough reasons to avoid IB, here is another one. Probably Iberia and TAP Air Portugal have the distinction in my experience/mind as the only 2 Western European long haul carriers as bad (sometimes worse) than American and other US trans Atlantic carriers. Strange because the Spanish and Portugese people, culture, hospitality and "estilo de vida" are great. Just apparently doesn't translate to their national carriers.
Agree that this is poor example of "consistent trans Atlantic travel experience" under the relatively new JV/ATI.
