One way to do this is to select a starting point in the US that is serviced by CX and not BA. I can't think of one off the top of my head but maybe someone who knows will be along shortly.

The Gautrain does stop at Midrand but the Greyhound bus stops at the services on the N1 highway (motorway) just outside of town.

On the subject of the Gautrain, it is a very good service and highly recommend for destinations in Midrand, Sandton or Rosebank. Traffic on the N3/N1 highways is dire at most times of the day - although the imminent arrival of pay per kilometre tolls might help with this.
