Options for Booking When Travelling With Spouse But Not on Same Itinerary?

So, I need to book flights soon from ORD-NRT-HKG, by myself. And on my way back, HKG-NRT-ORD, my wife is flying with me on the very same flight, and later on, she will finish her second leg of the trip ORD-NRT-HKG on her own.

Neither one of us have done anything like this...

how can we combine our itinerary? Or what should we do?
