Who needs pockets even as deep as or deeper than BA-IB/IAG when stripping the BD assets can be done even by the relatively poor with access to enough bridge financing. If BD is to be a carcass, I'd rather not see the pieces of meat from it picked up by BA-IB/IAG vultures, as it would do nothing to further competition. And I'd rather not have BA-IB/IAG poisoning the waters for others, which is what trying to drive up the price just to poison the chances for additional competition to BA at LHR would do.
