Your cost of FF status last year.......
I'm curious what your ticket expenses where to reach your current 2001 status.
I had spent $ 5,271.21 CDN by the time 35,000 miles had clicked over to qualify for Elite......and I ended up finishing with quite a few more miles before the year was out.
As it's all personal travel, I don't think reaching SE on out of pocket money is going to be possible for me.
What amount had you spent upon hitting the various levels ?

Greetings from the Mexicana lounge Guadalajara, Mexico.
As usual, I continue to be impressed with Mexicana. There've been a few hiccups, like today's meals (a touch bland, melted and re-frozen ice cream,) and some of their equipment and lounges look a bit tired. But staff is still amazingly friendly and helpful, and every MX flight I've taken has departed essentially on time, and more importantly, arrived early.
Cash Strapped Air Canada?
For the first time we hear this word being associated with Air Canada instead of Canadian Airlines.

...the beginning of the end?
Just checked my flight miles for my first trip of the year. Flew in B/H class and upgraded with certificate. Only credited with 835 miles (would normally get 2088) from YYC-YYZ. No changes were made, ie original C class booking etc etc. This never happens unless I change the booking and an agent enters something wrong. Other flights have yet to post, so this may be an anomay or it may be the beginning of the end?
