Yes, the rooms are small. Yes the bathrooms are tiny. Yes the "views" are marginal (try to get something high on the 42nd St. side). But people-wise, it's been fine.
That has been my experience at this property too. While the following doesn't speak to all Hyatt properties, lying to customers is a very strong indicator of a travel service provider exhibiting a major attitude problem. I have not personally witnessed the staff at this Hyatt hotel lie to customers, and that is probably a very good indicator that somethings are actually right with this hotel.

Stay/point credit is indeed not always provided on such rates (and very frequently are not to be provided), but at-property Diamond benefits are always to be provided on such rates.
