Just used my category 4 certificate at the Santa Maria, CA Fairfield Inn and Suites. They upgraded me to a one bedroom suite which was nicer than many full service Marriotts I've been to. Very friendly staffers, and good breakfast choices in the morning. I think it must be no more than a year old. Immediate surrounding area wasn't that great but easy access to the highway and close to many wineries. The whole place had that kind of funky design now found in many of the Renaissance properties.
