If your current Gold is value until Nov 2012, it means you qualified in Nov 2010.

Now, with respect to this qualification, there are two "periods of interest"

(1) Calendar 2011: If you fly 50k in this year, Gold will "auto requalify" for 2 years when your current Gold expires. You'll also receive an extra GUP.

(2) Jan 2011 to Nov 2012: If you do not qualify under (1), if you fly 80k in this period, you will requalify for 2 years when your current Gold expires

(2) Jan 2012 - Nov 2012: If you do not qualify under (1) or (2), if you fly 50k in this period, you will requalify for Gold from Nov 2012 to Nov 2014

Sounds to me like you will qualify under (1) and therefore you'll requalification will occur when your current Gold expires. You'll be extended for 2 years until Nov 2014.
