I'll weigh in here too. I've stayed at the hotel numerous times, and almost always with a car. I've found the service and attitude, from the guy who takes the car, to the doormen, to the front desk folks, to the RC people, to the guys who bring the car, to be 99.9% great. And I've been there at some really busy times (like the US Open Tennis Championships).

Yes, the rooms are small. Yes the bathrooms are tiny. Yes the "views" are marginal (try to get something high on the 42nd St. side). But people-wise, it's been fine.
