In a few days, my wife and I are going to fly VCE to VIE to IAD. Along the way, we acquired two boxes of ceramics. They have been packed well with styrofoam peanuts and bubblewrap.

To my chagrin, I decided to measure them today and they measure 60 x 62 x 40 cm. The limit on OS reads to be 158 cm, which would put me slightly (4 cm) over the limit.

How strict is OS going to be about the size limit? Will it be strictly enforced, or am I going to have to pay oversize charge? $200 seems like a lot to pay for 4 cm.
